LittlEARS® Auditory Questionnaire (LEAQ) is a parent questionnaire to assess auditory development in children with normal hearing and children with a hearing loss who received Cochlear Implant(s) or Hearing Aid(s). It covers auditory development milestones in the first two years after receiving the hearing devices or in hearing children, up to two years of age. The LEAQ includes age-dependent questions that increase in complexity. Therefore, the older the child, the more auditory behaviours that would be expected to be observed by the parents. Questions are answered by checking YES or NO. The results of the LEAQ are automatically marked in the normative data graph that shows if the child’s auditory development is according to their age The LEAQ is a useful tool to: - Evaluate if the child’s auditory development is within normal range - Monitor auditory development of the child over time - Identify areas of auditory concern to address in therapy - Support families in counselling and decision making
