Aexels App DESCRIPTION

A universe is discovered

…Universe X

Come along as we explore this new universe and discover the similarities and differences it has with our own.

There are things we know for certain about Universe X; there are things we can speculate about and there are many things yet to be discovered. Hopefully, over the life time of this app we will be able to continually increase our knowledge and understanding of this new world.

A real time graphics engine.
This app does real time path tracing on your iPhone. A path tracer is software which traces light in order to create realistic looking computer generated graphics. While usually this process takes hours, even days, utilizing the power of Apple's Metal graphics platform this app is able to make the process happen in real time. Key features: -Create realistic computer generated images on your phone. - Realistic lighting effects (global illumination) -Watch the images render in real time at 30 frames per second. -View 5 pre-built scenes, or create your own. -Insert up to 5 spheres in your scene. -Move the camera, adjust lighting and change the wall colors. -Supports three different texture types: diffuse surfaces, mirror surfaces, and glass surfaces.

Control a rippling string by dragging your finger. It leaves an oddly satisfying trail in its wake. The control is intuitive and fun.

Math animations and illusions
A UIKit & CoreGraphics showcase. This app demonstrates different techniques for drawing shapes, paths, gradients, text, and animations using CoreGraphics and UIKit. Scenes are based in mathematics and optical illusions. Source code is available through the About page.
Conway's Life on your Wrist
This app lets you run Conway's Game of Life. The simulation starts with a randomly filled grid of cells. Three color schemes are available: in Four Life (the default), live cells are in one of four states. Each state is represented by a different color. Cell births and deaths follow the standard Life rules but when a new cell is born it takes the state that matches the majority of its living neighbors. There is one edge condition. Since cells are only born when they are surrounded by exactly three living cells, there could be a tie for the surrounding cell states with exactly three states being represented. In this case, the newly born cell takes the fourth state. The Night Time and Classic color schemes give rise to a standard rendition of the Game of Life.
Explore the Mandelbrot set.
Fractally allows you to explore beautiful Mandelbrot and Julia set images, while at the same time, helping you gain a greater understanding of what they are. * interactively zoom and scroll around the images, using standard pinch and scroll gestures. * watch to see how the Julia set changes as you pan and scroll around the Mandelbrot. * view Mandelbrot or Julia point orbits, a visual representation of how a point changes as it moves through the iteration. * many different color schemes are provided. * control the amount of detail shown through the iteration editorOver 2,000 iterations per point are possible. * zoom into the fractals over 1,000,000,000,000 x. * save and share your favorites, in the app as well as through Messages, Mail and AirDrop. * save high quality, large or small, anti-aliased images. Note that the saved images can range in size from thumbnails to wall sized photographs, depending on the amount of memory in your deviceImages are saved in the lossless PNG image format. As you find interesting images, share them with your friendsFractally saves fractal..

[] The universe of the Game of Life is an infinite two-dimensional orthogonal grid of square cells, each of which is in one of two possible states, alive or dead. Every cell interacts with its eight neighbours, which are the cells that are horizontally, vertically, or diagonally adjacent. At each step in time, the following transitions occur: * Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies, as if..

Automatons is an implementation of two-dimensional cellular automatons. Each cell has eight neighbors. Whether the cell lives, dies or is born in the next generation is determined by how many neighbors are currently alive. John Conway's Game of Life is just one example of the automatons you can create. In fact, there are 262,144 possible automatons to explore! Automatons is entertaining for novices and subject experts. Start with a random initial condition and see the patterns and symmetries that develop over time. We've included a number of preset patterns that have nice behaviors for certain conditions. For example, for Life (B3/S23) there is a preset of a glider gun and a lightweight spaceship. You can also insert a custom pattern to see how it evolves over time! Explore different initial conditions and and discover beautiful patterns and surprising results.

The calculator, spreadsheet, concept map, programming language: Oovium is all of them and it's none of them. Oovium is the first (but certainly not the last) of an entirely new class of app, the calculation sandbox. It has been made possible by the invention of the touch device and Oovium's clean, efficient and tactile interface, designed for such devices, has been part of its DNA since its inception. At its heart, Oovium aspires to make powerful, sophisticated and complex abilities (such as those currently available only to programmers) accessible to a wider audience. Oovium understands that increasing accessibility does not mean dumbing down an application by hiding complex functionality, it means making that complex functionality understandable by creating explicit..

AepCalc also offers a number of other nice features such as a hexadecimal mode and a clever memory facility, in addition to the standard scientific calculator functions. "I just wanted to let you know that I've found your RPN calculator to be very useful over the years. It's one of the first things I install on a new computer, and it goes on the outer edge..
