StubHub: Event Tickets

I bought a soccer game ticket for my family (wife, son, daughter and myself) 2-3 months before the game. Received 4 tickets before the game but 2 of them were invalid at a stadium gate so my daughter and I couldn’t pass the gate. I immediately called to customer service to get alternative tickets. They asked me to send a proof to show if the 2 tickets are really invalid. So I took some pictures at the gate with the QR code of tickets which shows a gate#, row# and seat# then sent to them. However they were asking more questions like which gate#, row# did you have the problem. I couldn’t understand why they need to ask me this kind of question because I sent the pictures and they should know what they booked for me. After the multiple callings it’s been more than 40 minutes so I changed my mind to refund it because I thought it was just waiting a time. My son was looking forward to seeing the game with all of us but it was destroyed by this company and he was crying after the game because he was worried about us if we can pass the gate during the game. The payments for 2 tickets were refunded but I still don’t understand why I need to pay for the other 2 tickets which were even valid because my son and wife were definitely not enjoying the game due to this issue. This is absolutely nightmare for us. I really don’t want someone to be a similar situation in future so I left this review.

I purchased tickets for the Tigers home playoff game. I was assured that the tickets would arrive the day of the game. However, on the day of the game they had not come. On my way to Detroit (a 3 hour drive) my StubHub account showed that “oops!” There was a problem with the order (despite me already paying over $400 for my tickets). But not to worry, they were going to fix the issue. Well, I arrived in Detroit still with no tickets. My wife had spent over an hour on the phone with their customer “service” trying to figure oh the issue. Eventually, less than an hour before the game started, they told me that they couldn’t fill my order with the tickets I had paid for but they could give me standing room only. But they would give me a $6 voucher also. What a joke! Thankfully the Gametime app had some seats available and I was able to get them on short notice (though they were worse than what I had ordered and paid for on Stub Hub). StubHub did assure me a full refund, but that is a cold comfort to people who’ve paid for tickets, taken off work, and traveled to an event only to have the ticket site cancel your ticket order less than an hour before the game. Its disgraceful.

We bought Gracie Abrams pit tickets when they first came out. We lined up at 8 am to get in. 1 hour before doors opened they told us the seller backed out (how are they even allowed to do that) and gave us seats in the back instead. Literally what the flip guys. I hope stubhub goes bankrupt. 🎤✋

Don’t use. Said would get ticket day of event and got nothing. They guaranteed a ticket but I got nothing. Side note: how does Apple say they are 4.8 stars? I look through the reviews and they are mostly 1 stars. Something is fishy. Can you buy a higher rank from Apple?

Bought tickets for a pink concert in December 2023, the concert wasn’t until October 2024. Tickets were never sent one and a half hours before the show - when I lived two hours away. They tell me they can’t get a hold of them. There’s no way to get a hold of stubhub via phone. You have to do everything through a chat. never again as soon as I get my refund deleting the app.

Never use them. Purchased Luke combs tickets for a concert in October 2024 that got rejected at the gate. I got a disputed ticket form from the venue and called StubHub. After 45 minute call they will only give back 25%. I had to purchase new tickets at the venue box office to get in. They do not take care of customers and do not protect your purchase.

purchasing tickets from here is great and easy but once you try to sell or get a hold of anyone it’s so sketchy they do not try and help at all nor give any directions on what todo when selling tickets . i was charges 90$ twice for tickets I SOLD.. and i can’t even make this up the guy told me i was lucky i even made any money so?!? idk and i sold my tickets like a month ago and still haven’t been paid so. 🤷♀️

I purchased some Dallas stars tickets for a pre season game then got to the checkout and noticed the fees seemed high. I punched the numbers into a calculator and realized I just paid 58% for fees on top of the tickets!!!

I purchased tickets for kaytranada at Forest Hills stadium in queens New York on 10/04, the entire checkout process was for this event, at this venue. We selected “GA bowl” tickets and paid $300 for after sale prices. When we showed up to the concert we realized that The ticket email link sent to us was for an after party at a roller skating rink in Brooklyn AFTER the concert (an after party) where tickets are $40 each. After trying to get help with the venue we had no luck getting in, and didn’t get to enjoy our first night out as parents in 10 months. I tried reaching stub hub from the moment we realized the issue at the door, until the following morning. After speaking to multiple agents, being hung up, gaslit, and denied a manager, I got one, all for them to send me an automated email saying “ we are unable to issue a refund. According to our Seller Policies outlined on our website, it is prohibited for sellers to list non-event tickets independently. Sellers are permitted to list non-event ticket items only as add-ons to event ticket listings.” Stub hub robbed us.

I’m on my ticket page, and every time I I try to hit My Order details the App freezes on the screen and none of the buttons can be pressed. Restarting the App does not help. I can’t get my info. New Update, it still FREEZES at the same place. Worthless update

Too many hoops to jump through to transfer tickets then takes forever to receive your money from the buyer. Seat Geek is much easier and will be my “go to” app for future purchases.

I was trying to buy tickets to the Celtics game and it would not let me on the see the prices and it would just keep reloading and I waited an hour and it never stopped and like this app is booty hole

Two bad experiences for the same event. 1.bought parking tickets for the event never got them and would not issue a refund for them. 2. Some how I was not the only person who bought the seats I had for my event because someone else had the exact same seats that I had. I will never buy tickets from StubHub again and would recommend you do not either

i bought alex warren tickets and 2 days before his concert i got an email saying the concert was cancelled and that there was a problem with my order and gave me a refund. the concert was actually not cancelled and i knew some people that went.

The app is not working. It just keeps looping and does not allow you to search for events or tickets.

Please be careful! We bought tickets and drove 3 hours to our destination before realizing the tickets had no barcode, and had already expired when we got there making them invalid. The fees were almost double the price as well. I spoke with customer service “Allen” who told me they had no control and couldn’t refund me because StubHub itself just acts as a “bridge to help connect seller to buyer”. Which is fine, no problem. Except it’s NOT secure and the seller completely took my money. Allen says it isn’t StubHubs fault and there’s nothing to be done about it since StubHub itself isn’t the seller, so no refund. Although in the policy it says “StubHub ensures you get valid tickets to any event or your money back.” They didn’t go through with it obviously. This needs to be more authentic! Thankfully, I’ve contacted my bank and issued a fraud because this is theft. No thanks to StubHub. I don’t recommend it. I’ve had better luck using TickPick.

We bought tickets from StubHub for the Penn State versus UCLA football game and there was a problem that to be honest was not StubHub‘s fault. However, we spent hundreds of dollars to get to this game and all we wanted from StubHub was a sorry in the form of a refund beyond our tickets refund which to me is nonnegotiable. But for a mega company to not give us $25 towards a future event means that they do not stand behind their product. On top of that, they accused us that we did not call until five hours later which is absolutely not true. We went all the way to the gate of the game and had to be turned away and they could not even say sorry here’s $25 towards a future event for what happened. They completely blamed it on the seller and took no liability. There are too many other venders to buy tickets from and we will never use StubHub again.

I’ve used Stubhub for several years with good success. However during the past year the service has taken a significant turn for the worse. We have had tickets misrepresented - meaning orchestra middle seats turn out to be on the side, and more recently orders are just not fulfilled. They seem to have moved away from being an escrow service where they can guarantee instant delivery to being more of a marketplace with little governance. Add to that an absolutely atrocious support model and you get a site which is ripe for scammers. Our most recent experience involved going to a college game out of state only for our tickets to never be delivered. By the time Stubhub acknowledged this issue it was too late to deal with it. We were out the plane tickets and hotel. I would not use the service. They do not stand behind their product. Go someplace else and save yourself the frustration.

The most horrible experience of my life, they rip you off and give you no explanations. I paid almost 800 for tickets and the same day of the event they told me they didn't have the seats, and I had to drive almost 4 hours and they don't care. If you see this company, run because you will be the next one they rip off and you also have to wait up to 7 days to receive your refund.

I bought tickets to a concert that was cancelled three months ago and have still received no refund. Customer service is absolutely useless and disconnects you for no reason. How is this company still in business?
