Hotels.com: Travel Booking

This company has no problem lying to their customers and treating them with disrespect. I had 6 stamps collected and was told that if I book a room before January 1st that I would get to keep my stamps. I spent money on a non-refundable room before January 1st and they still took all of my stamps away. They stole my rewards and my money. Never using their services again.

Booked two hotels on consecutive nights for a cross country road trip. Neither hotel had our reservation on record upon arrival, despite multiple confirmation emails leading up to the day of the reservations. The first one worked with us after a huge hassle, but the second one left us out on the curb with three kids after a 10 hour drive. We even tried calling the second hotel about a dozen times in the four hours leading up to our arrival. No answer every time and the voicemail was full so we couldn’t leave a message. When we told the front desk person this, they just shrugged and said they were too busy. I’ll never stay at a Hilton property again, and I’ll never use hotels.com again either. I’m cancelling my corporate account too.

App needs complete reconstruction. Can’t search “current location”, need to guess where you are to look up spots. If I’m traveling in a new city how in the world do I know the name of the area? Why can’t I set it to “current location”??? Most inconvenient app ever. Also why does it even populate places that are “unavailable” or “sold out”… WORST APP EVER

I love hotels.com and always book through it. The new app update with the map view is not user friendly, it use to show prices of the locations so you could make better views for hotels, now it just shows gray marks and you have to click every one of them to see. Not a fan at all….

I really use to love this app causes of the convenience of it. But the app hasn’t worked in months. It keeps telling me “ try again later.

I’ve been using this app for years and it used to be great. They released a bigger update recently and it destroyed it. You get stuck on the loading screen and it constantly signs you out has “too many requests.” Unusable.

Takes money and then hotel states no reservations. Customer service then asks for all information when you have to pay hotel rate as walk-in. This was third attempt in getting room for one night. First hotel: NO CHECK IN ATTENDANT. Second hotel: not disabled friendly and only 2nd floor rooms. I will be filing fraud report with better business bureau.

The links it sends on messager are super ling

If you switch between list view and map view, the app will change the dates you set in search criteria. That creates incorrect, and often non-refundable, bookings. The hotel (and hotels.com) get your money and you are out a room.

You folks changed the website and how it runs. I looked up places my wife and I we’re planning on visiting. I saved hotels that we planned to stay at. Everything is gone and I can’t re-do if I wanted to because you can’t save favorite’s anymore

It only works about 1/2 the time. Often just forget the ap and go to the web

Spent 2 hrs on the phone to change a reservation. Agents are not trained and the systems are convoluted and not set up to be efficient. Would not recommend hotels. Com or the app to anyone.

I loathe this app. It barely functions like it should. It crashes, never saves trips, I’ll put in one location and it will show me hotels 30 miles away not anywhere near I wanted, and just overall is awful. I will say the rewards, customer service, and benefits are incredible.

I’ve tried to use this updated version for the past 3 days and it has froze each day. I’ve had to go to the website to book every day. I’ve not been successful at booking through the app.

Jumps around when zooming in or switching from list to map. Difficult to ascertain which properties are available/ sold out- not all listed. No longer user friendly at all.

Super inconvenient for this feature to not be working. Tried Virtual assistance but typing is disable. How am I supposed to state the issue I am having?

You can’t call hotels .com with problems. Very frustrating. You used to be able to call. I’m done with this site.

Hotel info is not updated as it should be and they should offer to refund the whole amount when on the site it says pet friendly but when I got to the hotel they wouldn’t allow my service animal.

I’m using proton ѴРИ and this app doesn’t function properly if ѴРИ is on, which I usually keep all the time. First, you won’t even be able to sing in. Once singed in (with ѴРИ turned off) you can’t search anything and most functionality is broken. Uninstalled and went back to booking.com - a lot better engine anyway..
