WYDOT Wyoming Road Conditions

Very poor organization for the random trip. Should not need to select a road cam several times to see each camera view. For a travel app, if you are going to charge a “Pro” subscription to see the weather for a drive that should be stated prior to having to agree to the terms of use. I can use the WYDOT website faster, more efficiently, get better data and it costs nothing. Skip this app.

Finally some winter road map help thats not cobbed up!

As an Over The Road truck driver who travels across CO/WY weekly, this app has proven to be near perfect. Not only has it combined the data I usually get from numerous apps but it also makes getting camera views so much easier. Also one of the main features it has is the notification when a road alert has been removed, which isn’t available with the official state 511 apps. What used to take a good amount of time to trip plan is now accomplished in just a couple of minutes. Developer was quick to respond to a suggestion I had and followed up with me. Highly recommend it for anyone traveling.

This app helps Wyoming Travelers so much more just by collecting all the web cams and being able to put them all in one place depending on your travel routes. It's so much easier to scroll through and see the entire section at once with a scroll. Next thing to work on would be getting the connected vehicle technology to let drivers know where stopped traffic and snow plows are located. This app is a must have to keep up with the constant weather and road conditions.

Makes viewing road condition cams much easier

WYDOT’s official 511 app isn’t great. This indie developed app makes up for the state’s app by providing a better UI and the collections feature for web cameras is awesome. You can create a collection, name it something (i.e., “I-80”), and then add cameras along that route. When you bring up the collection, the latest photos from the web cameras are loaded. Really easy to set up commonly followed routes so you can see what the conditions really look like in real time. Plus, the added weather feature allows you to see both roads and weather in the same place without having to switch between apps. Good first release, expect it to get even better.
