here's the trick with WW (and likely TK as well, since the merger). Several years ago, WW rolled out a feature it called the "recommendation module." Basically, if a bride uses the inquiry form to contact one vendor, WW "helpfully" offers to send the same inquiry to several of that vendor's competitors. Of course, most brides love the idea -- "why contact 7 vendors separately, when I can just write one message and WW will do the rest for me?" But it's a kick in the teeth for vendors for several reasons: 1) If a prospect contacts ME because they liked MY page and MY reviews, chances are good that a quick response and a live meeting will lead to a booking. But once WW gets several other vendors involved, all bets are off. Not that competition should be feared, but the client will regret allowing WW to copy several vendors at once when they inevitably get overwhelmed by several responses at once, most of which are coming from people they never contacted. And if someone manages to respond 3 minutes sooner than I do, or they quote $100 less than I do, that prospect might very well go with someone they never intended to contact in the first place. Why pay WW to do this to you? 2) When you're on the receiving end of these leads, there is NO way to tell if you were the originally-intended recipient of the lead, or if WW's algorithm decided to include you in the group who got CC'd on the lead. So you might be rushing to send a response to someone who's never heard of you and really had no interest in hearing from you anyway. And if you get so skeptical that you just start ignoring all these leads, you very well may wind up shunning people who really did want to hear from you. In the past, there was an option to disable this "feature." If you turned it off, any leads from your WW page would only go to you, nothing would be CC'ed to the competition. Conversely, you would never be CC'ed on leads that were intended for other vendors. I loved being able to turn this off because it meant I would only get leads from people who were genuinely trying to contact me. I would assume many other vendors felt the same way, given that WW took away the option and turned it back on for everyone awhile back. At some point along the way, WW -- even before the merger with TK -- seemed to lose sight of the fact that VENDORS are the ones paying to keep their lights on, not the brides, not the grooms. Vendors *should* have a say in stupid crap like this, but WW doesn't care. Why any vendor continues to pay WW or TK, just to be kicked in the teeth by them year in and year out, is beyond me.

Overall, this WeddingWire APP is easy to navigate. Unfortunately, I don’t know where to find the option to create an auto response template, or create / save one that I can just copy and paste into my email responses. This option does exist on the desktop version (website), but on the website I cannot attach Social Media Icons with links to my signature and the responses cannot be formatted properly, which makes my emails look unprofessional.

I’ve had a great experience with the mobile app. Whenever I receive a lead, I get a notification on my iPhone that helps me reduce my response time to the couple! There are some text copy and edit features that could be better, but the app is pretty easy to use and navigate.

I am a wedding photographer and I joined WeddingPro which means I am a vendor for both theknot and WeddingWire. In this first month I got 5 leads and booked two weddings through the knot. I technically got no views or leads through WeddingWire in the first month however it’s worse! I actually got a “lead” from a scammer who wanted to give me a notarized check and all around fishy not wanting to talk details. WeddingWire did thank me for reporting this person. That followup is the only positive I have seen from WeddingWire. I did get a phone call from weddingpro going over wats to optimize both accounts. I have followed this list on both sites but like I said it’s like day and night between the two apps.

Leads are nothing but bots. Been paying $200 a month for nothing and never had clients at all. Total amount I paid for this is $1200 already. Never will I sign a contract with you again. I was guaranteed to have and help me get clients but it does not work at all.

Though this platform has attributed to many leads, the customer service for The Knot and Wedding Wire is absolutely atrocious. With the amount of money we have spent to advertise with them, you’d think they’d be a little better with their customer service. NOT! They are very frustrating to work with and take their sweet time ‘resolving’ problems.
