RoboKind Companion App DESCRIPTION

RoboKind Companion is the app for robots4autism®, an autism and social & emotional learning curriculum used across the world. This evidence-based program and its curriculum is used to teach social, emotional, and behavioral skills. This program contains over 140 lessons covering a variety of skills including self-regulation, social communication, emotional recognition / expression, and situational practice. Lessons are designed to help individuals with autism and other social deficits to learn, practice, generalize, and use these skills using embedded assessment, hundreds of flash cards, hundreds of video models, more than 200 structured and naturalistic practice activities for generalization, and lesson plans. Lessons and activities can be facilitated individually with each student, remotely using avatar support, or in a group setting. The lesson experience can be tailored to student needs by assigning pre-defined IEP goals to students, which will then recommend lessons and activities that are relevant to the assigned goals. Lesson systems have been enhanced for real time capture of student cueing events, and enhanced note taking for student lesson progress.

robots4autism® is endorsed by CASE (Council of Administrators of Special Education) and has been validated by several independent research institutions. It has been validated through state-wide longitudinal studies by the state of South Carolina’s department of education, and has been used in hundreds of schools and school districts.

For information about robots4autism® please visit https://www.robokind.com/robots4autism.

robots4autism® requires a RoboKind robots4autism® subscription, 2 iPads (5th generation or later), and a RoboKind R25 Robot and/or Avatar license. With RoboKind Web Companion, an iPad can be optionally substituted using a computer and Chrome or Edge web browser.
