USING YOUR APP AND FREESTYLE LIBRE READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR

Note that FreeStyle LibreLink and Readers do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your Sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data.

APP INFORMATION
FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a FreeStyle Libre Sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the App.

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system as the App does not provide one. Fingersticks are required for treatment decisions when you see the Check Blood Glucose symbol, when symptoms do not match system readings, when you suspect readings may be inaccurate, or when you experience symptoms that may be due to high or low blood glucose.

[2] Use of the FreeStyle LibreLink app requires registration with the LibreView system, which is provided by Abbott and Newyu, Inc.

Have IPhone 13 Pro Max. First three sensors worked and now nothing.

Mond

The sensor is bad never give accurate readings, after 9 days all the sudden the sensor stopped working, don’t trust it

Zen

Why is there a libre 2 and a librelink app. What is the difference? When should each be used?

game

Just about every sensor is cut short because they are defective. Contacting Abbot labs is a waste of breath as they seldom honor their replace policy

nickfuki..

This app is a piece of cat feces, patience is impossible when it’s fail after fail to read any results. Diabetic’s are out of luck as per usual.

raycampb..

No idea why but after a few months this app just stops working. I went so far as to reset my phone and reload everything- huge pain. Nothing made the app come back. Went online and did some research. This is a common issue and there is no fix I can find. Just use the sensor that comes with the Libre. It’s not as cool, but it works.

LadyWarl..

Over the past two weeks I’ve been having difficulty opening your app. It will not open at all. One morning I awakened and tried to scan my scanner it said unavailable please try back in a few hours. Shortly after that I rescan again then I say it it will be ready in three hours. This is not providing quality of care as a diabetic

schwazoo

I like this set for what it’s made for… I use it to checkWhich foods elevate mymy blood glucose now that I am on a ketogenic diet…. What I really would love and why it gets four out of five stars is that 1). you can’t really drill down into an individual time slot… i.e. zoom into measurement data that is captured as snapshot it data point used to create line graph results…And, 2). that it will only hold six maybe seven hours of readings… also I’m assuming that with technology advancements that a longer than 14 day life cycle will be possible… At $35 per sensor it’s on the high side of affordable.

Grocery

Took a reading and it showed up as 174, 10 minutes later that reading still showed up in the log, but not on the graph and a blood sugar meter showed my level at 154.

Dadths

I realized today that if you activate the sensor with a cell phone, you won’t be able to use the reader/monitor. You have to activate the sensor with the reader/monitor first then the cell phone anytime after that for both to work.

Nadia

This app use to work great on my iPhone! But now for the last month it hasn’t worked. I need help because I carry enough stuff in my bag! I really am one who needs this to work on my phone!

Dodeka

You can add a canned note like “ate dinner” or some other canned response, which is useless. You should be able to add a note like ate rice, smoothie, Broccoli etc. Another example of an app were the developers didn’t actually use it themselves, because if they did, they would change it.

DJ

Don’t buy Libre 2 if you plan on using both reader and phone methods. I travel frequently for business and do not want to carry a reader in my pocket. I have been using Libre 14 day for two years and worked well with both methods. Dr wanted me to use Libre 2. Waste of money for me as I like to use phone when out of house and reader when home, can’t do that with libre 2. I’m sending the Libre 2 back to the Dr and continuing with my 14 day unit. Why did you do this to the libre 2 Abbott?

Rayvis

This does what it supposed to do. When it’s scanned, the sensor will upload eight hours of blood glucose data into this app. I hope you like it in the app, because that’s where it’s going to stay. For no reason that I can understand, the data is completely sideload. Oh, you can share it with your physician via a very buggy, and difficult to install app from the same manufacturer. But it doesn’t share data with Apple health, nor any of the other myriad diabetes tracking apps that are out there. So if you want someplace that’s going to integrate your food consumption, carb count, insulin usage, oral meds, and blood sugar, this ain’t it.

4Them

I’ll preface this by saying that I was using the Dexcom G6 which was so much more accurate and would monitor in real time. It would alert me if my levels dropped too low, too high or even if it was dropping too fast. Insurance forced me to change because freeStyle is cheaper…and it immediately shows why. Now the app works just fine unless I want to take a reading. Then it just won’t work. Tried everything including deleting and reinstalling. This thing does NOT help with anything except trends and similar data. It does not have an active role in my diabetic health as it cannot be trusted for accuracy. It really is this industries Yugo trying to pass itself off as a freaking Tesla. It’s garbage and I’m only using it until I can find a way to get rid of it and get something else.

Maomaste..

Does not work with IPhone 12 That totally blows homeless guys junk

Dingdong..

the app hasn’t reacted to me pushing either scan button in three days now and i have deleted and redownloaded it with no change but now all my data is gone. this is so frustrating…

Grege321

The sensor is excellent. The visual representation in the app is poor. For example the range (mg/dl) is 0 to 350. If you typically range between 60 and 120 which I do, the line graph does not show your data well. I could imagine if I had 100-200 mg/dl fluctuations it would be fine. It would be nice if the chart was adaptive so it is more usable. You are collecting extremely accurate info but not translating it. You are missing the accurate visualization piece we want. We want to know what certain foods cause spikes in blood glucose but it’s hard to tell with your graph. The target range is good. Can you make a chart range as well? Please!

Hodge511

Information that should be given in the app is not. It shows a line graph of your readings thru the day but there is no way to see each individual scanned reading, the time taken, exact number and so on once time has passed. This is what should be considered vital information for a diabetic. The first sensor I put on didn’t work. I tried 4 different times to reset the new sensor and wasted 4 hours and my first sensor. Now what?!?? Am disappointed thus far

kiersten..

One thing I wish this app had was alarms for high/low events. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night in the middle of an event, but it would be nice to be noticed in real time.
