HealthNow is a management company for self-insured plans, basically your employer doesn’t have insurance and are themselves paying for your medical costs. It’s a terrible company. I am not commenting on the app (which should not be on the AppStore as it is nothing more than a website) but the customer service is pathetic. As Michigan resident, every insurance company is required by law to provide a letter confirming if my plan is qualified or not for the purposes of auto accident coverage. HealthNow representatives confirmed to me every day, for two months, that I will get a letter “today”. Needless to say, such letter never arrived. I suffered $500 worth of damages due to HealthNow negligence. If your employer has selected HealthNow, do yourself a favor and shop for real insurance on the marketplace, you will thank me later.

The app is clunky and does not do what is expected. The find doctor button doesn’t work and isn’t settled for the app but for a desktop use. Use the desktop, less issues.

This all is one of the worst. Each time I open it I have to log in! How about facial recognition? I can get my insurance card but can’t save it to my phones wallet which makes it a pain to use. I think my other issue is about slow claims processing but that could be them, not the app.
