Mimeo Photos

After much hesitation I decided to download Mimeo to print our wedding pics. I thought I'd start with one photo to see the quality of their work. Then I found out that, while the price of one print is the same as my local drugstore, around $4, and therfore very competitive, the price to ship *one* 8x10 print is around $12. No thanks. I'll go back to driving to the drugstore and printing there.

Finished the non-Apple Pay checkout & got all the way to "Finish" but the finish button can't be clicked ...

Can't reopen previously created Mimeo projects. Cannot delete them either. Causes Photos to constantly crash. I've sent detailed error logs and crash reporter outputs. Definitely not an application worth using.

They lost my shipment. "We will have someone contact you ASAP." Never happened. Now I paid for something, created something, and it's in perpetual nowhere land. Other options out there that are undeniably better.

I've had a repeated problem where Mimeo not only fails to load but takes over Photos, leaving the only option to force quit Photos, deinstall Mimeo, and download the latest version. Can we be serious? This is a major step back from when project creation was baked into Photos. No one ever suggested deleting the app and starting all over again. This app needs to be much more stable and should not be reliant on reaching Mimeo's servers. It's my project with my photos. This should work even offline.

after all the time spent to create my calendar and then uploading and sending it in, several times, with in a day or two the company would send an email to let me saying it "didn't upload" right!!! I'll never use this program again. wish Apple still made calendars they were so much better!

This is the second time I've had a problem with Mimeo calendars. Two years ago my calendars had both horizontal bands as well as dust marks on the photos. This year, the dust marks are gone but there are prominent horizontal bands across every photo on every page. Having an easy to use app is meaningless when the company can't deliver a quality finished product. They ruined my photo calendar and I will not trust them again.

The more I try to use this app the worse it gets. Updated software to the latest version and I still can't retain choices for text -- keeps reverting to defaults I didn't choose. Still can't add photos to an existing project -- it crashes Applel Photos every time. The customer "service" is pretty useless. They don't have any solutions for these ongoing issues. Will be switching to another book production software program since Mimeo is a complete disappointment. Will not recommend to anyone.

After reading other reviews and believing Mimeo was going to be a winner, I have now wasted hours trying to create a simple album for my mother's 80th birthday. I'm not a technology pro but I'm not a noob either. I understand the logic of Apple integrated apps and this one is so frustrating. I wish I could get the 3 hours back I wasted trying to give them my money for the 20 albums I was going to order.

They sent email with off for half off first order. I spent hours making a photo book with their app and when it comes time to check out, discount code is invalid.

I had great difficulty getting logged in to use promo codes- in the end I wasn't able to use the 50% off your first order coupon because of it. Was told I could not be refunded this amount, I had to cancel and replace the order. Was told if I deleted extension and reinstalled it to log in I would lose the book I made. Frustrated.

Got a 50% off promo code. Submitted my purchase. Forgot to put in the promo code. Requested they put it in post sale. 'can't do it'. Ridiculous. Get your systems updated! Then I'll be back.

Be aware: these cannot be accessed UNLESS you open an account first. Not my idea of of how things should work.

Program occasionally quits unexpectedly. A basic feature like being able to modify the start and end date of the calendar after you are in the middle of the project is not allowed. You have to start all over from scratch. Outrageous!

They want to upload all the photos first in order to make a simple PDF export. Zzz

It wouldn't allow me to select a photo from my Photos App! Using a 2015 MacBook Pro, Big Sur 11.4

UPDATE: their shipping estimate was for hand-off from FEDEX to USPS. That happened around May 11, and although their site said delivery by May 13, it did not arrive until sometime after May 21 (although FEDEX estimated Jun 1). Needless to say I was already gone by May 19 so it is sitting somewhere out there and not in my hands (and it missed their estimates which guides my decision making). Developers sent me an email asking to update my review -- with a link to "Contact the Developer" which does nothing more than send you back to the FAQs on their web site. So my review is updated -- more details but same conclusion. I'm not that I will ever 'trust' their shipping estimates. photo products appear to be adequate but nothing special. But NEVER believe their shipping estimates. They estimated May 11 delivery which turned into May 13 (which was ok) which then turned into Jun 1 which is NOT OK. This means it arrived AFTER I already left and it is just not worth patying for shipping again to actually receive their product. Conclusion: their shipping estimates are terrible and not to be trusted -- don't make decisions based on it. Makes me wonder what else I can't trust.

Why does this app need access to my entire photo library? Is it not possible to provide access to just the photos I want to add? If this is something Apple requires I will change my review, but if developer choice that's not good privacy practice.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the printing. Shipping fees were way too high for such a small book. This is not worth it. My first book with them and my last.

i have uninstalled and reinstalled twice (according to the support chat) and it keeps losing all my edits and photos. I would love to use it, the layout features are great, but will look for something that works.
