As a physician and someone who has lived with anxiety since adolescence, I came into this program with a lot of intellectual knowledge and personal experience with “managing anxiety.” I’ve read a lot of books and tried a variety of techniques to fix the anxiety without too much success (and after this program I better understand why those approaches failed!). This program is unique not in the details of its informational content, but in how it pulls it all together in an effective, experiential way that is developing my ability to not resist or fight waves of anxiety, such that they pass naturally or don’t build up in the first place. It helps me do things differently, in a way that has brought a lot more peace and ease into my life. I’m very grateful for Dr. Brewer’s work and this program, and couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The notifications reminding you to do something seem to stop working after about an hour, so when I press on them, it leads to nothing. The stats also don’t sync with the web version so I never get a complete picture of what I’m doing. The UI isn’t very intuitive, either. The substance, however, is very good. It’s directed and well thought through. It doesn’t pretend to give you a magic, instant solution, which is reassuring, and the clunky UI and app features actually make me focus more on the substance. I’ve been working with this for a month so far. I don’t notice any progress yet in me but I feel like I’m getting a greater understanding and awareness, which I hope will lead to real improvement.

I heard Dr Brewar on a podcast talking about his newest book, Unwinding Anxiety. I’ve suffered with anxiety and panic for years. I’ve done therapy, classes, self-study, mindfulness… the combination has worked to some extent to tame my demons, but Dr Brewar’s book and app have probably helped me make the most significant changes in my life - a few minutes at a time. PRACTICE - a few minutes a couple of times a day. Habit change is hard work, but it doesn’t have to be painful. The UA app has worked wonders for me.

Although I’ve had previous neuroscience training and am an active body worker and wellness mindfulness facilitator, this program is blowing me away. I purchased the book first and immediately downloaded the app. The bite size lessons and daily prompted exercises are like having a personal (Stress/Anxiety Mindfulness Trainer). Although I had been practicing mindfulness prior to beginning of this training, this training is refreshing and immediately applicable for me and my clients. The synergy gained from the combination of the neuroscience and mindfulness confirms a lot of my past trainings but delivers it almost effortlessly and is user friendly. I am so grateful to Dr Jud and his team. I had never heard of Dr Jud until about a month ago. I started ERN and Unwinding Anxiety about 9 days ago. I thought I was self-aware, with years of meditation, mindfullness, gratitude, and a general happy disposition, positive parenting and a general kindness towards people. I also practice intermittent fasting, a ketogenic diet and I exercise regularly. However, I binge regularly and feel out of control around food, and lately I have managed to retreat from society in a very unhealthy way. Finding ERN, and then Unwinding anxiety has radically opened my eyes to my addictive behavior, my lack of awareness of the physical tension I carry, and the quiet anxiety that I have carried with me my whole life, but have denied. I can't get enough of this information. It is changing me every day. Not to sound dramatic, but thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution to humanity.

Absolutely fantastic science and community! I was stuck in a rut of self doubt and anxiety and while I am definitely not done with my journey, this app has helped me bring my constant levels of anxiety and self-doubt from around a seven, to about three, and I can definitely see it getting even better from here!

I have never given an app a five star rating in my life but this app is quite amazing. It's simple to understand, it's sessions are short so they can be added into my real life and (despite my normal skepticism) it's really working for me. They have expert help available when I need it and technical help if I have a program glitch. Both respond so quickly it suprises me. There's a community forum where I can interact with others using the program, which can be very helpful in keeping me from feeling alone in my quest for a better approach to life. I'd recommend this program to anyone serious about lessening the anxiety, handling the stress and quieting the worry in their life.

This app is a gentle yet powerful approach to altering habits. I have found it to be far more effective than anything else I have used. It isn’t magic, and one must commit to understanding the concepts and using the app lessons and daily reminders. I think it is also helpful to read Dr. Brewer’s book of the same name.
