Nebo: Notes & PDF Annotations

I’ve been using this app for about a year now for class notes and it’s really been useful. That is until you get a large file and then it becomes extremely laggy and starts doing weird stuff. The eraser will lag out and either not eraser at all or erase a whole chunk of work. The latest update has made it worse and now it started crashing causing you to lose work.

I use it to take notes but recently it’s been super glitchy and stops working and the eraser never works now. The app crashes all the time.

The ability to have my apps automatically sync in real time would be amazing. I’ve had so many times where I’ve forgotten to sync my iPad and went to show someone on my iPhone and it’s not there.

I love this app! As a nursing student I have used this a ton for my note taking. The only suggestion I have is that I would love for there to be a way split screen 2 pages at once. Having two sets of notes open at the same time would really help me out! Other than that, I have zero complaints and would recommend this to all!

I’ve had this app for over 2 years and at least 3 times the app has lost or deleted over a months worth of my notes. It’s very frustrating. You have to backup your notes everyday because you never know when the app will delete some.

I downloaded this ap for the handwriting to type conversion which is really good. Then I had shoulder surgery on my dominate area and handwriting went out the window so I was left typing one handed. I am using the ap for bible studies and doing that requires bulleted lists with multiple sub levels. This program has no function for sub levels on numbered or bulleted lists which is super aggravating. I tried to copy and paste my notes into another ap but that doesn’t work either. I am guessing that I would have to have a plaid subscription.

I wish there can be a list view of pages within a notebook and an option to sort notes by dates/names/types etc. I primarily take handwritten notes, so there’s really no point of displaying my notes as tiles, as they all look pretty much the same. Finally, I hope there’s a more advanced search to search across collections and notebooks. Overall, a great app.

I’m a biology teacher and high school football/track coach and I use this constantly in class and on the field. Coaches and teachers are scrambling through papers/folders/filing cabinets and I just flip through my iPad and I’ve got what I need in seconds. Coaches are flipping through notes on a clip board and losing papers at practice and track meets, and I just pull up Nebo in seconds and find what I need! I use it to give notes to students and the email those notes to absent students or put them in their claoom folder on their computer. My ONLY suggestion at this time would be to add a pointer option so you can point to something on the screen (like with a red dot) using the pen. Otherwise app is perfect!!!

I used this app for 3 semester of college with no problems. It’s a great place to take notes and download notes directly to. Lately I have been experiencing a lag in my writing and when using the eraser it will eraser a complete opposite line. I am highly disappointed and just want my old app back.

The app was doing great in the beginning but now every time I try to write a sentence it will start to lag and the app crashes from time to time...

I love this app but recently it has been buggy. Specifically the erase feature hasn’t been working (very slow and not erasing what I want or what I touch) and the app has crashed a couple times.

I have used this app for everything. My own personal notes and also for my kids homeschool. I use it with my apple pen to show math problems, language arts and so on. Now the added pdf feature has just made me in love all over again. It is worth the pay features! I recommend this app to everyone.

I use this app for taking notes in customer meetings and I love it! Very easy to use, recognizes my handwriting and converts to text. Syncs to my phone to review. Great app! Some recommendations though: 1) Add a quick note button. A new customer calls and I need to take notes fast, I don’t have time to set up a new notebook. Add a button to jot a quick note and then let me move it to the appropriate collection and notebook later. Maybe even an option in the control center or as a widget on the far left of the iPad. 2) Connect with my contacts list and let me “tag” customers to my notes. 3) Add an option to have an auto sync. Keep my iPad and iPhone apps always in sync. If I need to review a note on my phone it would be nice to know it’s always up to date with the iPad.

I use this app for all of my notes at work & it’s suddenly been very buggy today - and it was just updated! - freezes & the only solution has been to close/reopen it. Then my most recent notes are gone and have to be rewritten. Less than ideal because I’m a school psych making notes as I’m observing things in claooms. I need to document in the moment for validity of evaluations. (And no - there weren’t any images to clutter the system - just regular old notes using an Apple Pencil.) I pray this is temporary because I need full functionality for my job duties!

For what it offers, this is the best note taking app I have ever used. The feature is unique and package can be purchased separately if needed. An app that prioritizes user’s satisfaction first is always highly valuable. Love it!

Is pretty useful to write on it. You can write note for the class. At the first time to use this app, you might get little confused. i change to Appel pencil mode which is you can’t write with your finger but can use is (slide up, down, color, add, text, type, and new) that you can use it. And the pencil can use to write.

I’ve used GoodNotes and Notability and I like them both, but Nebo is the best and pretty underrated in comparison. If you’re going to get just one, get this one.

Wonderful app that's very stable and works well. I've enjoyed using it and I use it all the time. Its been tremendously beneficial to my productivity. If I could make a few suggestions: some of the gestures can be awkward (for example, the forward slash is the gesture for line return so if you try to write b/c the software will either line break the b and the c or it will correct to bk), some abbreviations don't work (for example, vs. almost always converts to us and abbreviations such as hx for history will convert to his, cont. for continue doesn’t work either), double tapping to convert writing to text doesn't always work (it’s more like quadruple tapping). I have also noticed it lagging some recently but I’m not sure why. I have a pretty new iPad. Overall this is a great app and the above issues are very mild annoyances that are very tolerable. I love how accurate the conversations are overall and the ability to upload pdf files and mark them up is amazing. If you’re considering this app, go for it. I highly recommend.
