The app supports Apple Health which helps to sync measurements with electronic scales, glucometers and blood pressure monitor. Using the app with the Apple Health app on your device empowers you to better manage your health.

GI means Glycemic Index. It is a number associated with a particular type of food to indicate the food’s effect on a person’s blood glucose (blood sugar) level. The number typically ranges between 50 and 100, where 100 represents pure glucose, an equivalent amount of pure glucose.

The Glycemic Load (GL) of food is a number that estimates how much the food will raise a person’s blood glucose level after eating it. It can be used to apply the Glycemic Index to dieting by connecting the GI number with carbohydrates content in a given serving. It gives an estimation on how much a serving size of food is likely to increase blood-sugar levels.

Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber which is indigestible thus it is considered not to raise blood sugar levels.

BMI is used to assess health risks and body structure but does not take in consideration muscular mass so it can sometimes be inaccurate, for instance in the case of athletes or pregnant women.

Diabetes mellitus (DM), commonly known as diabetes, is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period.

Hyperglycemia (also spelled hyperglycaemia or hyperglycæmia), is a condition in which an excessive amount of glucose circulates in the blood plasma.

Observational studies demonstrate that people who maintain arterial pressures at the low end of these pressure ranges have much better long-term cardiovascular health.

I liked the app very much , but if I could not scan the products like other app (Fooducate , carb manager etc) . 2. The weight , how many oz, gram is a portion of bread which make it easier and friendly. How many gram is 1 pita , I need to source this info in order to get the exact GL. How many gram is plum,pasta The only reason that I am not subscribed is looking for the right product and the right weight is not possible . The app does not help to ease the process, it is a pre determined list which is really a big flaw. I’d rather pay a little bit more for a complete list and exact weight .

This app is useless to me, an American, since portion size is measured in grams. The app doesn’t even say it is talking about the weight of the food, but I assume that is what the gram measurement is for. Americans don’t know grams of items. That’s one more step we’d have to take a ride over to the internet for...who’s got time for that on each item they are considering. Most food apps use portion size (1 apple) (1 slice of white bread), not weight. But if they use weight the ounce/pound system would be an option. And there would be an option for half an apple. I tried watching the videos but they did not elucidate matters either. The app looks fine otherwise if you don’t mind working in grams.

To unlock the other features like food diary. Like someone eles said - searched romaine only got “lettuce- leafy green”, tomato comes “tomato, orange raw” then when it comes to portion - the only options are: 100, 20, 345.2, 123 and 32 grams”. None of this means *anything* to me and there’s no settings option to change to cups or ounces. Wasted $9 for nothing. When I tried to contact dev through app from “make a suggestion” it doesn’t even open. Very Very disappointed with this app & wish I could get my money back.

I’m not going to punch data in more than once into my phone, and an app tgat doesn’t communicate with other health apps or provide sufficient privacy protections ( which are require for health kit) is not useful Subscription cancelled.
