Mutual is the largest and fastest growing dating app for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS/Mormon)!

Mutual is a place where single members of the Church can make meaningful connections that lead to real dating. The app was created by BYU grads who know how difficult it can be to meet others with similar interests, beliefs and standards, especially outside of Provo. Mutual offers features that help you get to know other singles beyond their profile photos, by highlighting information such as mission location and interests you share in common with potential matches.

The Mutual team is committed to upholding the standards of our faith, and making Mutual a genuine and safe place you can trust. All profiles get reviewed before entering our community. Users are encouraged to verify their profiles before meeting in person to ensure they are who they claim to be. We also make it easy to report inappropriate behavior in the app, to maintain a positive environment for everyone.

In the words of Brigham Young, “This is the place.”

Upgrade to Mutual Up for access to exclusive new features, including: See Who Likes Me to see who has already swiped up on you, Profile Boost to be seen more often and match faster, Ward Hop to change your location and match around the world, Unlimited Double Takes to undo past swipes, Ninja Mode to go invisible to everyone except people you swipe up on, More Filters to filter by height, and Daily Notes to stand out and increase your chance of matching.

It’s sad to see the collapse of this app. The migration has begun and most of my single friends are moving to hinge. I don’t even know what to say about the daily swipe limit. Just disappointed in the cash grab. It feels like whoever is making these decisions is listening to cash instead of customers. I get that you have to make money somehow, but you can only squeeze the sand in your hand for so long until it runs out. Edit: The canned response is disingenuous and makes no logical sense.

Imagine seeing that there are people who have liked your account but you never see them on your feed unless you pay. You can see maybe one person who has liked your profile a week with the unpaid version.

Mutual used to be a really fun and really good dating app. I’ve met some cool people from it. But now the swipe limit is ruining it. It’s way way too low and makes it so you almost never run into matches. I understand that having unlimited swipes is probably excessive, but the swipe limit needs to be greatly increased. The price hike on premium is also ridiculous. Will be deleting until I hear about an update reversing some of these changes.

Y’all just gonna add a swipe limit like that? Shameful. I thought mutual had the high ground on tinder. Guess I was wrong. From 5 star rating to one star real quick. Limit your swipes and you limit your clientele. Un downloaded.

I It need to be better

I used to use the app a lot because it was a different dating app unlimited swipes you can go back by watching an ad and rewinding you swipes felt like they wanted us to date, now it’s like all the other apps hungry for money.

There app used to be good, in recent months they have doubled the price for the premium subscription and have recently added a swipe limit of around 40 unless you pay for the premium!!! The premium now costs 15$ a week or 72$ for 6 months! Ridiculous!

50 swipes?? You’ve got to be kidding me… The less swipes you have, the less likely you match with anybody. I am just a college student, how am I going to afford this app on top of everything else? Mutual has just become another dating platform. I can’t even believe it. Very disappointed. I share my views with most on campus. There is talk going round about a mass deletion of mutual accounts. Word spreads fast. Unfortunately that’s the only language people understand when they abuse their power. Goodbye mutual, you just lost a lot of business and respect

Way too expensive!!! The guy has to already pay for the date anyways so what’s the point in wasting money to find out who likes me. That feature should be for free. Otherwise I would consider this a great app

This app is all bout money now. They lose their purpose.

I’ve used this app on and off for the past few years and it’s been great to meet up for dates and connect with others. This new update has limited the number of swipes which now forces you to pay to swipe more than a certain amount I’m limited to 20 swipes and have a verified account. I’ve paid for Mutual before and didn’t notice a difference between the paid version and the free version so I just used the free version. If your going to pay for a dating app just go to you’ll have more features and a better experience and even more intentional dating than a hookup app like this. I’m going to delete Mutual until they change their pay to swipe structure now. Thanks Mutual but also no thanks.

Hate hate hate the recent update. I keep removing profiles from the ‘likes you’ que and yet the app keeps putting them right back in there over and over. It is now impossible to make any progress with hoping to keep things somewhat organized so you can focus on the right individuals. Developers you need to change it back to how it was. Seriously. You ruined it with this. It’s nearly useless now.

For some ungodly reason the developers have decided that unless you pay for the app, you get a max number of swipes per day. Not only that but it’s less daily swipes than even other apps that have this type of thing.

When I downloaded this app it was really to just meet friends. I was not intending to meet the love of my life!! Lol you definitely have to go through quite a few big FAT no’s!! But I ended up meeting my husband and im so happy that this app helped me lead up to that. By every date I learned more and more about what I wanted and liked in a man.. Until I found someone that had all those qualities. Thanks Mutual!!

A daily swipe limit now? Seriously? Delete

Stop acting like you think limiting swipes helps make a difference, you’re just another cash grabbing company, get rid of the daily swipe limit no one likes that we aren’t paying you 75$

I used to love this app because it didn’t have a limit on how much you could swipe. Which is exactly how it should be on an lds dating app. Now that there is a daily swipe limit (which is way too low) I don’t even like the app anymore. I swipe for what seems like 5 minutes, only find two or three people I want to swipe up on, and that’s it for the day. This ridiculous change to the app needs to be changed back.

20 swipes a day is all that’s allowed now? I had this app before (since 2019) and erased my profile because I was in a relationship. Now I downloaded it again and made a new profile only to see that we have swipe limits now? And it’s only 20? This is absolutely insane. Reading the developers responses, they say it’s to try to encourage more people to swipe up and start conversations. I’m sorry but that’s not the best way to go. For all we know, we’re using our precious swipes on inactive accounts and people we will likely never talk to, leaving us without matches (like my situation right now). There were numerous ways to encourage people to talk to each other besides putting a ridiculous cap on how many people we can swipe on. I would go to Hinge, but unfortunately, there’s not many LDS people on there. So that’s why I’m here to hope to change your mind on all of this. I am very disappointed with where this app is going. The best part about this app was the unlimited swipes. You’re getting a lot of bad reviews since implementing this, so I’m not the only one who’s upset. If you NEED to make a limit so you can make MutualUp look more appealing, at least make it more than 20 so people like me who can’t afford to pay premium services to find love, can still have a chance. Tinder has more daily swipes. TINDER. And that’s a hook-up app. They have 100 swipes a day. From all of your users, PLEASE reconsider this. It’s hard enough to date nowadays, and we really don’t need to make it more difficult.

97 confirmed mutual swipes already, yet when I swipe up on all 40 of my daily swipes I get zero matches. I understand they’re trying to incentivize people to purchase the paid version, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Clearly they’re purposely hiding matches… Way to make the notorious Tinder look like a better app that’s more consumer friendly. Seems almost all the recent reviews (April 2022) agree.

It is incredible how much I have to pay now! Only for even swiping? I used to love this app, but I don’t think I could pay that much anymore!
