Forget any timely action on their support team. They’ll keep reassuring you that they’re escalating the situation week after week. The only way you’ll get them to move on anything is to submit a complaint with the CFPB. That’s what I had to do after they froze my account for 2 months along with my initial $3k deposit because it flagged their automated systems. I provided them all the documentation they asked for and they just sat on it until I filed a complaint. They also bait and switch you with the 4% APY. Initially, they advertise it as no strings attached. Fast forward a few months and now they require a monthly direct deposit or else they drop your rate to 0.25%. The app is also incompatible with ѴРИs so that’s another drawback for folks who are more secure with their data

I needed to add $1600 onto my card through cash deposit for my college fees and it wouldn’t let me add more than $1000 a day. Why is there a limit for how much I can deposit, it’s my own money. I tried again the next morning to add $600 more dollars to my card and after multiple calls to customer service, they said that I have to wait a full 24 hours to deposit more money. The deadline for my college fees is today and I’ll miss the deadline because of this stupid app. There’s also the issue of money transferring from other banks taking multiple days; why do I have to wait 3 days for the money to appear on my account?!

I’ve created my account for myself and my daughter. When it came time to send the card and confirm, it had another address entered in another state. They told me this was the address entered at the time of setup which was a lie. In order for them to fix it they wanted me to send in personal documents. This app will steal your identity. I promise you I never, why would I enter another address in another state. Beware

I don’t use PLAID because I’m not going to enter my bank website credentials into a third party app that’s already had several privacy related lawsuits filed. This gives them access to ALL your account data, not just the one you’re trying to link to Current. This app is the ONLY one I’ve found that doesn’t let you fall back to verifying a couple small deposits in your bank account to complete the verification process and link them. Because I won’t use plaid the ONLY way for me to get my money back out is to spend it our use their debit card at an atm which limits you to $500/day. I linked it to PayPal and that also is limited to $500/day and takes a week to get the money. They refuse to close the account and mail me a check for the balance, instead telling me I must draw it down to zero first. Current is the roach motel of banking apps - your money checks in but it won’t check out.

I signed up for Current based on Mr Ballen’s recommendation! I’ve had it for about 6 months, but in December my account got hacked into, and $1620 was stolen out of my account from the Virtual card, I was scammed from scammers who called me claiming to be apart of Currents fraud dept! I got more information from scammers then I’ve gotten from Current directly! I can’t get any updates from the “dispute deptartment” I’ve submitted the screen shots the phone numbers the scammers called me off, and I STILL CANT GET ANY INFORMATION ABOUT MY CASE! The only way to contact them is thru a chat on the app no numbers to call no way to get thru to the supposed Dispute center! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT GET THIS APP AND PUT ANY TRUST IN IT TO GUARD YOUR MONEY!!!

This review is mainly for the customer support…. The app is decent. Where should I start… They have no sense of time management take on average 5 minutes to get any message back from anything that isn’t a bot you try to ask multiple questions on a topic and they force feed you the same answer until you leave the chat in anger so they don’t have to deal with you. They are super lazy when it comes to mobile check deposits… if you plan to deposit a check on a Friday be prepared to wait the rest of the month to get the money that you worked hard for. They aren’t even helpful in any other situation and some of them come across super rude like they are annoyed that people even need help with their app or have questions about how they run things. If I could give zero Stars I would if it weren’t for me still waiting for one of my deposits to hit my account I would be with a different bank. Best advice I can give you is move they money you have in you current account to a different bank and save yourself from waiting your time

If your card is ever stolen and you experience fraud even from another state or country you misewell switch banks. Current will make you wait 90 days they are not in a hurry to investigate. They do not provide you provisional credits. Their customer service is horrific they will refund you charges and the next day let them through on a blocked card. This is the worst app yet. I have ever banked with. No remorse and they don’t care.

I’ve been with current for 4 years and never had an issue until now , someone from Florida went into my account and took out over $500 dollars out of my account so I filed a dispute and I waited 3 weeks just for them to tell me it’s nothing they can do about it , so someone can come into my account and steal from me and that all you do about it ? Again I’ve never had any issues with current , so basically it’s my fault some from a different state stole money I work hard for out of my account ? I will be getting a lawyer and I will have the courts take care of this matter , I hate to do this but I have no chose , if you’re looking for a bank to protect you and your funds , go somewhere else cause they don’t care about you nor accommodating loyal customers

I have been trying to contact Current for the last week. I cannot access my account or anything it’s telling me 24 hours and it’s been a week I have email current 20 times and I have yet to get a reply. I tried to recover my account that did not work. They’re taking people money not responding. They have no number to contact them at all. You only can contact them by email I have never heard of this in my life, I really don’t understand what is going on. This is the worst situation I have ever been in in my life. Any communication is horrible trash. I advise anybody not to go with current you will lose all your money and you have no way to contact anyone to get it back.

Says mobile deposit takes 3-5 business days. I was past the 5 day mark. Customer service (of which they have no phone number, sketchy) was of no use. So I went to the bank that issued the check. The issuing bank gave me proof that the check had been released well before that time. Still fighting for my money. Hope this class action lawsuit against Current Bank gets the people who they have scammed what they are owed. THEIVES AND LIARS. DO NOT TRUST with a penny of your money.
